Has anyone ever used Vaseline, on dog skin irritations, like rashes, to relieve the dryness and itching? What did you use it for and did it help or make it worse?

Vasiline like on poeple can cure dryness, but as far as rashes i would use a hydrocortizone cream +12 moisturizers and aloe. vasiline has a tendancy to spread rashes. the dog wil be fine with the cortizone.

My dog was very dry once and I used a little baby oil when I gave him a bath and tried to work it into the dry areas. I have aloe plants and use the aloe vera from the leaves to help with rashes, scratches, and even cuts...it works very well on him

Vaseline is very good to wear when cold water swimming. It works as a sexual lubricant, though there are better products on the market, it is soothing but not curing after a burn, it works on chapped lips pretty well, it can be used as a hair pomade if you want to achieve a forties or fifties Latin lover look.
