I have 2 african basenjis, they are barkless, but they love to yodel!
-
No. He won't be making Letterman's stupid pet tricks segment anytime soon :) He barks. He has a very expressive face and knows how to use it (pleeeeeeeeeeeasssssssss, can I have some of the people food?). Not talking though.
-
I use to have a dog and if I told her 'I love you". It would sound like she would say "love you too" promise not joking.
-
Can you hear the words that are coming out of my mouth? Can you hear me now? Good.
-
My Female bulldog says "momma" And each of my dogs know how to communicate with me Body language and all.
-
nah, but he snores
-
not english
-
my kitty says "NO"
-
my dog tries to communicate with us not just by barking but by going "raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar and so on for a long time and sometimes for just short "sentences". Sometimes raaar raaaar raaaaaaaaar rar raaar, whatever that means! People think she's growling, but it is not growling at all. She is THE FRIENDLIEST, MOST LOVING DOG I ever met. Really. So we tell them that she is just talking! Which we really think she is doing! I just wish I knew what she was saying. Besides, thinking I'm a lunatic, does anyone have any ideas on this?
-
Well not my language but maybe he did, i don't know really.

My dog watches me carefully and when he gets a response that he likes he will continue whatever behavior got the desired response the first time. Example: Last night I climbed into bed and almost immediately heard him jumping into the bathtub and 'tromping' around in it. This is his way of telling me that his water bowl needs filling. I got up, checked and filled the empty water bowl. He gave me poitive reinforcement by getting all giddy and wagging everything! I am a good girl! Yes, my dogs talk.
-
yes, 'specially if I am in the kitchen, wont bother the others, but has a lot to say to me. She has an uncanny similarity to human diction with the little noises she makes. even at almost sixteen she still has something to say.(like "gimee bacon or I'll trip your sorry @$$ before you get to the table"
-
Dogs dont talk at all. It just barks. We have to understand how does it mean by and when does it barks
-
haah, she tries to... She's the second dog I've had that does this. If I talk to her she'll start 'talking', my other dog, the male he would start whining and acting like a baby while he layed on your feet! when you spoke to him. :)

One of my dogs is pretty vocal (not yappy, just... she makes noises in response to things). Most amusingly, she has a distinctly interrogative noise she makes when she's curious that raises in pitch at the end, and a distinctively exclamatory noise that's a little sharper, but even in pitch. kinda like little doggie versions of "huh?" and "YAY!". she also grumbles and sighs when I tell her she can't sleep in the center of my bed, or that she's not to bark at the paper boy. I know it's all coincidence that she picked those sounds to apply to those situations, but she's really consistent, like those sounds have meaning to her. My other dog looks directly at you and says "woowoowoo" really mournfully if she thinks she's not getting enough attention, but she's not as chatty.

Often...when vocalizing, it really seems like Hannah ALWAYS has to have the last word! And if I've told her THAT'S ENOUGH!" Or given her the hand sign for ENOUGH, she even will get that last vocalization in..sometimes very softly...as if she is muttering under her breath..lol..(not her usual voice at all...she hasn't "caught on" to the concept of "use your inside voice" as my last dog, Bossco learned to do..hell no! lmao) But, when she does this..she gives me a VERY pointed "look." We call it her "you ain't the boss of ME! Are you?" look. And her "I'll stop, but it's under sever protest!" Cheeky bitch!
-
In a way..yes. She has certain noises she makes, looks and movements that I know without a doubt what they mean.
-
Yeah my dog does this 'annoyed whine-moan' thing if i'm taking too long to get ready to let her out. It's not a typical dog's whine either, it's definitely her own and I certainly never reinforced it!

My CeCe is a MAJOR talker! She has a specific noise for all questions she is asked. CeCe is a "child" in our house and she is treated as such, example: If I have asked her to get her bone or toy off of the carpeting (which she knows is a no-no) and she is hesitant I will start counting. By the time I get to 2 she takes and deep breath and will let out a loud sigh and pick it up and bring it to her bed! I she knows when we spell the word WALK because she will stand on her back legs and do a kind of jump and bark all excitedly, it is great! For a pitbull she is the biggest show-off with tricks and talking I have ever seen! GREAT DOG!

A hotdog spoke to me one time. As I was about to bite it, it said, "No! Don't eat me!"
-
My dog just barks when she sees people out the window and when she takes one step out the door. She's actually pretty quiet and sleeps a lot. My aunt's dog meows like a cat, it's the funniest thing I've ever heard.

i don't have a dog but if i did i am sure it would.
