Question

Help answer this question below.

I have replaced the power supply on my desktop and don't get anything turning on except the light around the power button. It lights weaker than it should also. I have been told by the Geek Squad (over the phone) that i could be the motherboard. any idea?

Is it connected properly most motherboards now require the large strip of Power-pins PLUS the 4 Square ones.

yes, it actually has more than the original power supply. i have to tell you that the problem origially started when i shut down once and the light stayed on. i pulled the plug from the wall ( i know, bad). when i plugged it in, nothing. replaced power supply and got only the weak light.
