  • Your IT department probably has filters set up to block outgoing emails. I would check with them to see if it permissible for you to use the company network for personal emails. Some places allow it and some do not.
  • Your work ISP probably has separate web servers for incoming and outgoing email ... and the outgoing email server probably requires you to log onto their website and use some sort of proprietary webmail run from the web server, rather than a user's system's email software run from your work computer ...
