  • It could be a dying fuel pump. If the engine can't get fuel it obviously won't start. It could also (not likely) be a severe airflow issue. Check your air filter for that one. Next I would check the carburetor. Is it functioning properly? Does it look good? You could also check the spark plugs - a quick and easy thing to do with a spark plug tool. Honestly, a car that won't start is pretty hard to diagnose unless it's some basic and easy to fix problem. Does your car have OBD? If so, a shop can plug in and see if it's showing any codes.   • It's a Ford Festiva. Seriously though, sounds like it could be an alternator problem.
  • First thing I'd do is change the fuel filter.
  • Sounds like a fuel system problem ... fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, gas tank vent. Check these first.
