How would you make an alcohol still from just a stainless steel bowl, a cup, some plastic sheeting, and a piece of stiff wire?

How about a variation on the old Boy Scout water still? Put the beer in the bowl, cover with the sheeting, and float the cup in the beer with the wire pressing the sheet down into the cup. Let the sun heat it, and the distillate should condense on the sheet and run into the cup.

Alternately on the Boy Scout idea, make the wire into a little stand to hold the cup out of the must (or "beer" in the case above), so it can't float away from the plastic. You might break part of the wire off and use it for a weight in the middle of the plastic sheeting to form an inverted cone shape.
