No, it's ONE of the things you need for the computer to run, there's four other things you need that I can think of, and that is: Motherboard, Hard Drive, Disk Drive, and Processor. So in my own opinion, the Motherboard is the core of the whole computer system because without that, you don't have anywhere to put the rest.
