How do you transfer everything from a internal hard drive to a external hard drive?

If you mean clone the drive, there are several programs to do this with, my fav being Norton Ghost. Cloning is for taking the entire contents of a drive and moving it to a target drive. All of it, including your operating system. No re install of anything is required.
