    I read the question slightly differently from the first two respondants: I thought the question was "Will your eyes receive damage specifically because you're wearing contact lens when you are sprayed?"

    As far as I'm aware, you won't receive any permanent damage because of the interaction with the contact lens. You may experience increased discomfort, due to the additional irritation factor, and the lenses may be rendered unusable afterwards. Looking at the list of common lachrymatory agents it seems unlikely they'd attack the lens itself, but getting the lens sufficiently clean for use may be difficult.

    Yes they can they dtill do the same damage to your eyes if you were not wearing contact lenses, they are not little protetors for our eyes
