I don't - I don't expect things to go right or go my way. That way I am never disappointed if it doesn't, and I am always happy if it does. Just don't expect anything, that's the issue. If you expect things to happen you're going to be really pissed when it doesn't. Just because you give, does not necessarily mean you receive. The more you can come to terms with this, the happier you will be day-to-day, and the more joy you will find in giving anyway.
