I only play the Horde. It's just my preference. I started off with 5 Alliance and 5 Horde characters. I think it was a combination of the early level areas and the layout of major towns and just the appearance of the characters(along with the races I liked from WarCraft3), but it didn't take me more then a couple months to delete all my Allies and remake them as Horde.

I play both factions, but Horde more often. While I love the horde, it does get old, so I play alliance for the change of scenery. One of the main reasons I'm not full time alliance, is the damned flight points. They're so spread out and scattered! Horde has a lot of fp's, but they're more expensive I've noticed. Alliance have fewer, but they're cheaper. I like playing both factions though, they're completely different paces of the game for me.

I got to level 50 with my horde pally, so i tried being an ally pally and got bored quick. I made a horde undead warrior which was more fun.

I'm not one of those kids that calls all Alliance characters 'conformists', I find an accomplished lawgiver more badass than some violent thug, I think the Horde is an agglomeration held together by hate, mistrust and apathy more than anything else, and the races and areas of the Horde, sans the Tauren starting area, are ugly as sin. I play Alliance on WoW, the GDI, on Command & Conquer, The Light on Shaiya. Sins are universal, but at least I'm willing to reform from within than degrade myself to the naive childish want to destroy from without.

i only play horde since i'm on a PVP server and have to play on a different server if i want an alliance char, which means no gold/crafting from you pimped out chars. . that said, i'd much rather play alliance. the reason being that, in my experience alliance players are, on average, simply better players. , you can see this especially on BGs. the alliance players stick together. they back each other up. they warn each other, and help each other retreat. they play tactically. . meanwhile the horde players rush blindly into a clearly lost battle instead of doin the smart thing. horde players don't defend, or regroup, or flank. . now of course not ALL players are like that. just enough to make a difference. my theory: the horde is full of 11 year-olds who think playing an orc makes them badass.
