  • Periods in art history and what these periods consisted of, and the social changes that guided these periods and the transitions between them. Maybe a few case studies on particular influential artists.
  • If I were an art history teacher, I would teach my students art's place in society: l.The artist is the first, and most sensitive, to sense what is happening in a society and expresses it in his art. 2.Second is the writer, who begins to write about what he sees happening in the society through his stories. 3. Third is the musician, who begins to compose songs(and other music) about what is happening in the society. He expresses the music from the inside out.(like the artist but is not as sensitive as the artist). 4.Last is the rest of the world with its hundreds of other professions who deal with society as it is. This is what I would teach my students before I would begin with the rest of the history of art.

  • That the people who founded England were French beforehand, and that Vikings weren't the bloodthirsty ogres depicted by the stereotypical understanding of today.
  • Dont worship the art or the artist.
