Both guys are really good. It is good to see Will Smith's progress as an actor from a rapper. I thought his performance in "The Pursuit of Happyness" really put him over the top. I'm going to have to go with Denzel though. Main reason being the characters he plays. When you watch his movies it's not "Denzel playing a character," to me he becomes the character, so Denzel and the character he plays are like two completely different people. When watching Will Smith the whole time you're like "That's Will Smith, The Fresh Prince," but I'm not putting the man down he is outstanding as well, and will only get better.

Will Smith is the better one because he has done movies of almost all genres and has worked amazingly well in Hancock and the way he gets in to the character of every role he plays -
Will Smith is a better actor because he can play many different roles than some seriuos character in every movie for example comedy-bad boys 1 and 2, horror I am legend, sci-fi men in black, action Hancock, and dramatic movies like the pursuit of happiness, and seven pounds.
