  • Yes, mine is nice and the only reason we sometimes have a strained relationship is because my hubbys a mamas boy:)
  • I believe there can be very nice mother-in-laws. you just need to think for a second..when you're hooking up with the daughter or son, you're actually hooking up with the family...if you cant get along with the family..GET OUT!!! QUICK!!!! they will tear your relationship apart if they dont like you
  • Yup, just like there are awesome step mothers too, mine is :)
  • LOl. Of course!
  • Yes, my s/o's mum is a very nice person, his step mum... not so much.
  • Yes, she has been my mother-in-law for all most 33 yrs now and I have called Mom for the day I met really. Which would be when I was 15 and I am 51 now and in all that time I have had only one real fight, to top it off for the last 23 yrs I have lived within 100 ft of her. I love her as much as my own Mom who is now passed on. My hubby and I have often commented on the fact that we both had in-laws that we respected and loved and that is rare I know.
  • some folks need to realize. he or she may the angel of their dreams, but when it comes to the 'family' it's usually one way or the other. if you get an in between family there is going to come a time where someone's gonna say somethin and your reaction could dictake where you are 10 minutes later, cuz nobody stays in the middle for ever......
  • Mine's not TOO bad... but, I must say, she does require some work...
  • There is at least one out there, and she's MINE! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Yes, in all seriousness, there ARE nice mothers-in-law out there and mine really IS one of the best.
  • I have been married three times and all of mine were, plus my sons have been married several times, and three out of four daughter-in-laws thought I was a nice Mother-In-Law. That's not bad odds.
  • Had this conversation with my girl pals many times and we all agree - as long as you dun have to live with them, they are nice. U see...women...we have ideals. We have an indeal for a husband before we marry. We have an ideal how many kids we want. Then we have an ideal how the kids gf/bf be like. Then when we realise our ideals are not met...we are not happy. But some learn to accept itm cus they want their kids to be happy. Some don't and go way out, or subtly, to change it. Depending on which kind of mother-in-law you get...I reckon there CAN be nice ones around. Just that... me and my mates have not met a genuine one...YET.
  • I don't have to believe, I've known them personally.
  • There could be, but will there be?
  • Mine is!
  • Yes. I love mine!
  • I am yet to meet somone who likes their mother in law.
  • Yes My Mother is a wonderful Mother in Law
  • They're a bit like UFOs.People claim they've seen them.but do they REALLY exist???
  • Absolutely yes.....My mother-in-law was very nice and my Mom was a great mother-in-law to my husband. He loved my Mom as though she was his Mom, and she loved him as though he was her son. We were both very blessed.........we miss then dearly.
  • My mom loves my boyfriend, so I'm pretty sure if we ever get married he will at least have one. Personally, I'm not sure about how his mom feels about me. She's not that easy to read.
  • well ive never been married but yes. i have more then when ex gf that i got along better with her mother then i have her.
  • Mine YESSS
  • Mine is the greatest.
  • My first one, not so much. My second one, dead. My third an absolute darling (though she has passed away). It's entirely individual luck.
  • Of course there can. Just like your own parents can be either mean or nice, your in-laws can also be the same. ;-)
  • absolutely, mine is fantastic, she cant do enough to help, but knows when to keep away
  • When our kids are grown - I think hubby and I will make great in-laws, as we've learned what exactly NOT to do. So long as my kids are in loving non-abusive relationships - hubby and I will just be ears to listen, and only give advice when asked in all areas of marriage. We want our kids relationships to work, and we know the pressure in-laws can put on a relationship and want to keep an open dialogue with them. So, to answer your question - I think hubby and I will be great in-laws!
  • Mine wasn't 'nice' but she was interesting, educational and fun .. better than nice.
  • My mother in law is the sweetest lady you could ever meet, she's had a hard life but she show's love to everyone she meets.
  • Based on the marriage I had-No. She was a nightmare and epidomized the term "son of a b*tch".
  • Yes although mine is not the greatest.
  • mine is nice. I love her dearly. I do however know not to piss her off. MY sister-in-law and her DO NOT get along at all. So i am glad I am on her good side.
  • Of course. My x-mother-in-law is a very nice person.
  • I'm a fairly new mother-in-law. I really want to have a great relationship with my daughter-in-law...especially because I don't have that with mine!
  • I believe there CAN be.
  • Oh yes , I am one
  • I'm not married yet, but judging my bf's mother I will have to say nope. It's very rare that her and I have the same opinion. She is very religious and we respect each other's beliefs, but some times we can't help but glare at each other. I try my best to not go against her beliefs, but her son even tempts me! We're going to be twenty years old next month (our birthday is four days apart!) Why can't I even kiss your son on the cheek in front of you? You're not even married to his father anymore! Who's being the hyppocrit?! To answer your question, it is extremely doubtful that I will ever get along with hopefully my someday mother in-law, but as long as I love her son and show it we're fine with each other.
  • Yes, my mom was the best...& my husband would definitely agree!!!!
  • Mine is.
