  • Are you using a dos box inside windows? If so you cant format the os system drive. However, many OS installation programs offer to format the disk for you, so I dont think you have to do it manually.
  • Use Fdisk to delete any partitions. Then create a new partion using same with the different OS. Then you use the new operating system to format it.
  • Odds are if you are installing a new OS, the install for the OS will give you option to format drive
  • Gotta go with Max Drive or another utiliy from the Drive manufacturer.
