  • I can't give any hard data, but personal experience was that it's just as effective, but you have to bounce a lot longer than a road run to get the same exertion level. You also do not engage the same muscles on a tramp in the way you do when pushing yourself forward on a road. If you're worried about joint damage, try powerwalking instead of jogging. You can get up to 80% of the effectiveness of jogging/running with up to 30% of the stress on your joints and feet.
