  • These verses show that god's love for animals was almost as perfect as his love of humans: Ezekiel 23:20 - “There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.” Leviticus 20:15- “And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast.” Genesis 6:7 - So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 2 Chronicles 29:33 - "The animals consecrated as sacrifices amounted to six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep and goats." Isaiah 1:11 - "The multitude of your sacrifices— what are they to me?" says the LORD. "I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. Exodus 9:9 - "It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt, and festering boils will break out on men and animals throughout the land." Exodus 9:22 - Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that hail will fall all over Egypt—on men and animals and on everything growing in the fields of Egypt." Exodus 9:25 - Throughout Egypt hail struck everything in the fields—both men and animals; it beat down everything growing in the fields and stripped every tree Exodus 12:12 - "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn—both men and animals—and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. Numbers 7:87 - The total number of animals for the burnt offering came to twelve young bulls, twelve rams and twelve male lambs a year old, together with their grain offering. Twelve male goats were used for the sin offering. Numbers 7:88 - The total number of animals for the sacrifice of the fellowship offering came to twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty male goats and sixty male lambs a year old. These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed. Deuteronomy 12:15 - Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it. 2 Chronicles 35:11 - The Passover lambs were slaughtered, and the priests sprinkled the blood handed to them, while the Levites skinned the animals. 2 Chronicles 35:13 - They roasted the Passover animals over the fire as prescribed, and boiled the holy offerings in pots, caldrons and pans and served them quickly to all the people.
  • The god of the bible doesn't love animals. They are considered to be abusable altar fodder.
  • Many people quote Mt. 10:29: Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But my favorite is Jonah 4:11: And should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 12,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?
