I would have lost out on having been an aerospace engineer. That was ten years of my life! ;-) Seriously, the 20th century would not have been the same. Transportation would be much less efficient. Commerce would be much more difficult to conduct. Communications would be tedious. The global economy would be a fraction of its current size. Wars would have been much longer. We would have no space program, no satellite communications, no cell phones, no GPS devices, no dish network, no Tang or Velcro and, most importantly, no Howard Hughes to kick around! Yep. The world would be a completely different place without aircraft Even people who have never seen one have benefited greatly over the past century.
