More importantly, why do rich people have to go to psychiatrists? why do they cry? why do they commit suicide? If money were so great, they'd be happy all the time.

First and foremost we need each other. People agree to value representations such as money. It is secondary to the inherent value of living ,feeling, thinking beings.

Jerry McGuire said it best- "The answer to 99 out of 100 questions in life is money."

We need money to live. You need to buy food, pay for rent or a mortgage, and other various expenses. People that say money isn't everything mean that is not all there is to life. There are so many things more important in life such as your health and the love of your family and friends. There are many people that do not have that, if you do,then you are already more wealthy than you could imagine.

Cuz money isn't everything but we do need it.

I think the term means that it shouldn't mean EVERYTHING to us. For example, if I were to take a job I absolutely hated, but paid well...I'd be miserable. The solution would be to take a lesser paying job where I would be happy. When our kids were little, I stayed home with them until the youngest was 7, and all three were in school, etc. There were times we went without the better things in life, but we never went without the necessities. When they were pretty self-sufficient, I chose to return to working. I could quit now, and we'd still be comfortable...but the kids don't need me as much, and I actually like my job.

we always end up needing food and food isnt everything, because if we neglect our need for hydration we will perish. its best to have a balance of everything and to be healthy and happy, but first you need to identify what everything is. clearly, its more than just money.

We need allot of things that aren't everything
