  • Sometimes authorities fall under the delusion that too much positive reinforcement and feedback can make a good worker complacent. Essentially, he's probably (in his mind) trying to push you towards even better performance. Now, if this is stressing you out and compromising your work performance and you trust him when he says you're his best employee, it might be time to actually communicate back with him. Give him some feedback...let him know that his constant negative feedback is diminishing your capacity. That should be clear to him.
