  • Cat soup!
  • Housecats should not be permitted to run free. Many species of North American songbirds are facing threat of extinction largely as a result of predation by housecats. Furthermore, dog owners are required to "stoop and scoop." What makes you think cats shitting in other people's lawns or gardens or the sandboxes where children play is acceptable?
  • In the winter keep both trays going. In the spring remove one. By summer remove the other. Come fall add one come winter add another. It works for us. I will never be tray free since I have chosen to have cats. And I don't want them to mess. Because if they do the smell will be there forever and they will always think it's okay.
  • reduce to one... you do not need 2. soon before spring move it to near the cat door. once spring comes remove it... cats do not mess indoors like dogs. odds are you COULD remove both litter boxes now... but I would wait till spring just to be nice.
  • I keep my cat in at night and he has pretty much stopped using the litter tray at 14 months, they will stop eventually as long as they don't have to wait more than the night to go to the toilet, my last cat would never have used one! I would wait until they are 1 then don't allow them access to the tray during the day and they will get the message ;0)
