How long of a vacation could you handle alone without your s/o or loved ones?

my husband and i have never been apart for longer than 3 days and i don't want to test it. last time we did, i went crazy and got violently, physically, sick by the fourth day. he went the same way. it was weird. but he is my best friend, not just my lover...

Indefinitely. I live alone, went on vacation alone, etc. If I didn't do that, I'd be missing out on a huge part of life just because I don't have a partner. I go to the movies, dinner, anywhere I want regardless of whether I have some one to go with me.

im thinkin about 5 or 6 - ive been out with her for that long before and right about at 5-5and a half she was gettin on my damn nerves ! dont get me wrong tho- i love her but privacey is still needed

I'd probably start to miss my friends after a couple of weeks. A month or so for my family.

I would worry about my kids after a few days... My S/O... I wouldn't miss him. I need a vacation from him every now and again!

This year I went on a vacation for a week and after the 1st day I was wanting to go home. It was mainly the kids and grandkids I missed.....they are my world. I made it though but it was rough.

I feel a little guilty writing this: But, truth be told, I'd like to have maybe one day. I'm the 24/7 caregiver to my S/O (Alzheimer's disease), and have been for nearly 10 years, now. My 24/7 circumstances are my own fault, though, since I just can't, in good conscience, let myself allow anyone else to handle it even for a brief time. No one knows or understands my S/O as I do. Know this: I have no complaints. We've had a magnificent 36 years together...better than all you out there...and still do.

My husband has been gone 11 months! I'm fine with that, I just wish he'd stop calling! I couldn't go very long without my daughter, 2 days max!

It depends ,,whoelse i can take on vacation with me? Actually ,i've spent alot of time away from wife and kids on my job ,, it is very hard from the time I hug them goodbye until i get back sometimes 3-4 months later.The first few days are the hardest ,, it gets alittle better with time ,,but I alway miss them.

I've been for a week with no problem. I think I would be ok up to two weeks. I have lived overseas for as much as a year, but that was before I was married and had a child.

Both my parents are dead, and I have not seen other members of my family for over a year and a half. I am single. I am perfectly happy to be living my life on my own and just date when I feel like it. Family and "loved ones" are all over rated; get them together and they argue and fight over petty stuff.

The longest I've been gone is 2 weeks.I missed my husband,but I enjoyed my time at the beach.

I could go on quite long alone. While I love my s/o, between work, family and my other commitments, the one thing I am always short of is time to myself.
