  • How about this,Hold him and look him straight in the eye and tell him how much he means to you, along with an "I Love You" ps, prepare yourself for future pampering.
  • For my parents' 25th, I took their old wedding photos out, that had been messed up over time and faded by the light, and digitally restored them with a graphics package. How about this (or take them to a professional if not sure about how to do it yourself)? Or how about a hip flask, with your wedding dates, anniversary dates and a little mssage form you engraved on it?
  • I think you need to post more information about him so people don't just offer blind guesses. What sort of person is he? What does he like or dislike? Do you have any skills that might be turned into gift-making (crafts, poetry, etc.)? The more people have a sense of who he is, the more relevant their gift suggestions can be. You can post an answer to your own question with details to help people sort that out.
  • One thing I've seen that's widely appreciated is custom photo gifts: albums with favorite pictures, or coffee mugs with family photos embossed (there are services which do this for a fee). My wife received a wall calendar from one of our girls made by a service of Snapfish.com: you upload the photos and lay them out online, and they ship it to you. It's very nice, with family on each page where the artwork normally goes. Generally, when money is tight, I like gifts that have a high percentage of "love content" -- effort, thoughtfulness, care, and something which shows your understanding and appreciation of the recipient.
  • how about an experience of some kind - maybe a community event like a free concert or an art expo. a chance to spend time together that doesn't cost a lot...
  • Everybody saves a lock of hair or something from the birth of each child. keep this in mind. Go to a card store and select a loving anniversary card, that fits just your special circumstances. Open your heart and write what you feel on the inside of the card. write down a favorite slow love song, that you both danced to, before you married. Tape your baby's saved hair locks to the inside with a message saying: "without our love, this would have never happened". arrow to the hair. "I love you more today, than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow". Let me hear from you.....john
  • Stableboy suggested I give more info about hubby to help with ideas (I keep getting good ideas that just aren't him). He doesn't drink out of mugs (Mt. Dew) or use calendars. He travels back and forth between two offices, so not much time at his desk. As a scrapbooker and card maker, I've already given homemade gifts. He loves his Mac & iPod, likes science fiction, owns almost every DVD imaginable, stays up late, drinks beer (too much in my opinion), and is a total couch potato. He prefers staying home to going out (except a movie). I can afford to buy him a gift, just not something outrageously expensive.
