For everyday use, I think T-Fal pots & pans are great. They're built to last, easy to clean, non-stick, and distribute heat evenly for good cooking. They're moderately priced, so not bad on the budget. I'm sure there are better ones out there, in the professional-use variety, but for home cooking these are the best I've found. All metal pans tend to get extremely hot, and sometimes burn the food on the bottom, and cheaper stuff doesn't last.

Wow you dont care about price? That must be nice, I wish I could be so fortunate but N E way...Wolfgang Puck's cookware is great!!

I like to use Calphalon. They seem to last, and they cook evenly. (at least mine do.)

I don't think there's one simple "best." It will depend on your habits and preferences. If you prefer to put pots in the dishwasher, you want something that's stainless steel on the outside, like All Clad. The coatings on anodized pots (like much of the Calphalon line) will disintegrate in the dishwasher. If you like a nonstick surface, Berndes is best (3 layers nonstick inside, 2 outside). But you won't want to fry at high temperature in any nonstick pan. If you like to fry really hot, making blackened tuna or great stir fry, classic cast iron brand Griswold is best.

Miracle Maid by West Bend with a Lifetime Sapphire Hard No Stick surface that is part of the Metal, not a "Coating" so U can use Metal Utensils with it!!! But, they are no longer made. U can find them on E-Bay but BIG $$$ They are making a new line called "Waterless" that are pretty good & also BIG $$$. John

I use different brands for different jobs. I was disappointed with Calphalon (esp for the price). I've been happy with Farberware, Scanpan, a few others and must have a good, seasoned cast iron pan. Never buy cheap aluminum and always learn about the cladding materials and what conduct heats evenly the best.

Metal ones! Good morning! I am sending my positive prayers and blessing with a happy heart. Carry this with you all the day as you venture forth!

Revere Ware's top line works best for me. They last generations. I still have a saucepan my grandmother bought in the 1940s. They are heavy stainless steel with nickle and copper bottoms for even heating and retention, and excellent wear and tear. The copper looks nice, as well.

In my opinion, All-Clad is the absolute best. I hope you really meant it when you said you didn't care about price. Their stuff is expensive, but worth it. http://www.all-clad.com/
