Because everything eventually leads to porn! Porn is big business. When VHS and Beta fought it out a few years back the deciding factor, over and above the high cost of licensing that Sony was asking for Beta, was that porn companies were releasing their wares on VHS because Sony wouldn't let them use Beta. I was frankly supprised when Blu-Ray won because porn was just starting to be released on HD-DVD and Sony was still refusing to open Blu-Ray to it. Oh well. I'm sure that when the internet first opened up to the public there was probably already a porn site or two available. After all, the Nerds at CERN need porn too. Hope this helps.
