Many people will use a ball bat as a way to protect themselves. I know a few people who will carry a lead pipe under their car-seat in case someone hits them with road rage. I am personally trained in hand to hand combat.

bat , knife or gun work. Although I prefer my fists to be honest. also you could use a screwdriver or hammer to great effect or a brick or a phone or an ashtray. Actually basically anything that ways a bit or is sharp :)

A gun is a pretty good deterrent. Barring that grab the closest thing possible, a chair, a bat, a can opener, a can of peas, car keys, anything you can.

You can defend yourself with anything if you are creative enough, depending on what the other person is armed with. You could kill a man with a banana if you shoved it far enough down his throat or somewhere worse...

I have trained and studied edged weapons for a long time.anything with a point .Pens,pencils ,tools.Much of what I do is getting control of the opponents blade and cutting them with their own blade. I boxed for 15 years as well. Sarong, belts clothing etc.. I have acted as bodyguard /driver for Ministry teams travelling into bad areas.I enjoyed doing this and would be open to more security work for the right people.

Keep a level head and remember what I was taught in self defense classes...the points on the body, the leverage needed for movement, decide just how it will go down...it is amazing how clear and fast your mind can go when you feel threatened... it happened a couple times since taking the class where I felt threatened but very secure at the same time...

A steel 6 cell 1.5' long flashlight. Usually it is after dark that the need to defend arises. The flashlight will not look out of place in your hands.

Carry either pepper spray, a taser, or get licensed and carry a pistol.

Weapons are everywhere, i have this round glass paper weight which has two figer holes which could kill someone if used right!

keys, a pen or pencil. Always walk with the longest key on your key ring protuding out from between your index and middle fingers. If someone grabs you put that into their eye as hard and deep as you possibly can. Twist it as you pull it out. If you can not reach their eye put it into their throat. If you don't have keys use a pen or pencil. Put the pen or pencil into their eye or their ear canal. Perfectly legal to carry and deadly.
