Have you found any of the bonds? It would help if you knew where to start. I know present day bonds can be found if they are lost but you need to know the date they were bought.
I assume these bonds stopped paying interest years ago. You might inquire at your bank and see if they know where you might start. Banks do sell government EE bonds.
I hope you will let us know what you find out.
