Broadway would be a good start. I imagine that there might be a broadway chat room. Who knows?

I don't believe it is a dying art. I believe it is not well marketed. Our entire family are complete enthusiasts. We are very involved in directing, acting, set design and construction. Depending on where you live, some of the most talented artists are those not yet discovered and hidden in your local community theatres. My suggestion would to not be clouded by big names.Search the web for theatres in your area as they often list thier seasons with audition dates and sometimes cast lists. Though most community theatres cannot bring the most up to date shows to the stage, they can, with the right attitude bring an extremely professional quality. For the record though, it would be nice in our area if there were more opportunity to convert this fantastic talent to a paying professional venue.

I go to Stratford twice a year to see a Shakespeare play. The seats are around fifty pounds each, and the theatre is sold out months ahead. Tickets for David Tennant's Hamlet have been selling at two hundred pounds each on ebay. It doesn't look like it's dying to me.

I usually go to www.broadway.com to see what shows are playing and where. There is a brief synopsis on the shows, the actors, schedule, etc.
