Why isn't common sense very common?

Common sense IS very common. It's wisdom that's rare. Common sense tells us that we're right and others are wrong. Common sense says that people don't change: once a jerk, always a jerk. Common sense says that if someone disagrees with you, there's something wrong with them. Common sense says that you should "express your anger" by spraying it on to other people. Common sense says we shouldn't care too much about people we don't know. Common sense says getting what we want will bring satisfaction. Common sense says someday it will all turn out. Common sense says others are not as smart as we are. Common sense is quite common, that's where it got it's name.

Yes, it has become very uncommon. Sadly I don't think it was ever that common in the first place.

I think what was once termed 'common sense' has been replace by 'street smart' or something like that.

depends on your definition of common sense.... one of my favorite versions of it is Horse sense.... if you know anything about horses, they just don't do stupid stuff.... unless forced into it....
