Nope. I end the conversation. If it is in response to a question I asked, I say "thank you for your answer and Happy (whatever day it is)". Then I leave and never look back. If it is a comment in response to an answer I gave, I simply say "Happy whatever day it is" and leave. I do not read crap/vulgarities/insults. The moment the thread indicates any of that I'm gone. The beauty is that the person who writes the tripe shows him/herself to be a loose cannon..yep..in front of God and everybody..those words echo through the years and whoever reads them will know what kind of person it was. What a legacy! Some immortality! :)

It really just depends on the situation. Though, for the most part, I will usually go on my way and not bother with them. There are way too many people like this out there and I would waste a lot of my energy if I worried about each one of them!

It depends. If they are truly abusive, I'd unsubscribe. If they are simply passionate about a different viewpoint, I might debate with them. I've talked to some really nice people that way (right, Rosie? :P)

Are you by any chance one of those who takes it upon themselves to browse thru the profile, downrate the hell out of them and troll them at the same time?

Yes, I have done that in the past. Some people simply would not stop, even though you have exerted all effort to ignore and/or avoid them. I reported that user's abusive behavior via feedback. I don't know exactly what has happened to that user (who hasn't logged on for several months now). I have an idea though.
