  • Salmon paste.... I have never had that before but it doesn't sound good. I don't like the word paste. I am sure it tastes ok though.
  • I make salmon pattie's there great as a sandwich
  • I didn't know it came in a paste. But I'm up for trying new things! We smoke our own salmon...that's pretty tasty stuff...with cream cheese, capers and fresh bagels! (usually served on our New Year's day party) This year I tried something different. I wrapped the smoked salmon, cream cheese, some red onion finely chopped and capers in Filo dough squares, sealed with melted butter...which you need for the Filo dough anyway...and baked them till the dough was just golden....OMG...WERE THEY GOOD..I must have made at least 80 of them...a bit labor intensive...but they disappeared that quick! I also make salmon patties sometimes too. I'd be willing to give a salmon paste sandwich a chance!
  • Hmm I've never tried it, but I like salmon and most sea food so I'll probably like it. I also like fresh liversworth, so if its comparable to that!
  • I love salmon paste and have done since I was a child. I also love sardine and tomato paste. I think the idea of it being called paste and its consistency puts people off.
  • Not a fan of fish, sorry
  • My mum used to buy salmon paste in a plastic cylinder from asda when i was younger. For the life of me, i cannot find it anywhere. Princes or shippams just do not compare! Did anyone else remember this delicious paste or the brand name?
  • Just you? I've never heard of salmon paste. I've had salmon sandwiches, either grilled or poached and they ae wonderful, though delicate. But to turn good salmon to paste? Curious.
  • I love it! In fact I found your question when I was Googling how I can find some salmon paste here in the states. For those who are put off by the 'paste' name.......it's just English for 'pate'
  • I loved salmon paste that my Mum made when I was young. Anyone have a recipe for it??? I know it had bread crumbs and vinegar in it and we use to make sandwiches with it and oh so yummy. I was born in USA and both parents came from England. Hope someone out there knows the recipes
