I like Amazing Grace
-
Amazing Grace was written by a former slaver who repented of his slaving when he realized what he had been doing. It is, in my opinion, the most deeply moving hymn ever written.

I love Jerusalem based on the poem of Blake

There are so many I love, and I've been debating about this one ever since you posted it. I truly love Amazing Grace, it is a beautiful hymn, but I have also always been deeply moved by How Great Thou Art. My grandmother loved For the Beauty of the Earth, and I can't help thinking of her with a smile and a tear every time I hear it. My mother requested Immortal, Invisible God only Wise for her funeral, and it always makes me think of her. Some of the contemporary ones are great too. Our praise band plays Thy Word with a Zydeco swing on bass and it never fails to get everyone dancing and clapping and singing full throttle.

Well! I don't know about finest. But walk in the light, is always nice and cheery. I like You shall go out with joy, mainly because of the clapping. And because it was our favourite song to sing when we did our communion. Our god reigns! I love that. Here I am Lord, is a bit lovely. I could go on for ages, but I'll stop here now.
