  • Get rich. This is the land of opportunity. If you're not a millionaire by age 20 then you are incompetent and deserve to fail! In case you haven't noticed, I am a bit cynical about the growing attitude that Conservatives seem to have that the only people who ever wind up in that situation are the lazy deadbeats of society. Honestly, the best bet is to take the first two crap jobs you can get and HOPE you can get into a shelter and keep yourself employable long enough to save up for the deposit on a cheap apartment. Then again, "cheap" means "rent equals only 80% of your net wages", hence the need for TWO jobs; I assume you want utilities and food too.
  • you probably got to rely on getting work and get help from your friends, if you have any.
  • get help from free shelters and eventually get a job.
  • Take advantage of all the public and government assistance that you can find. Join a church and let others help you. Get a job, no matter how menial. Keep that job and work towards getting a place to live and get yourself back on your feet. And, realize that this too will pass.
  • I moved into a shelter where i lived for 6 weeks, FINALLY found a job. Finally got offered a low income voucher for an apt. Before then I took advanatage of every opportunity. Free soup kitchens, free clothing, etc. Once I got my apt I had enough money to ONLY pay the deposits not even enough for the rent so I was kind of screwed there..even though I had soc. sec disability and working income. I would have had to wait 2 months to earn enough to buy food, pay utilities, etc. It's not as easy as people think it is to get out of homelessness. I finally had to move back in with my abuser whom I left because I couldn't afford to live even with all the help.. What do you do: work as much as possible, get food stamps, stay in a shelter as long as you can if you can, take advantage of soup kitchens, free places to get clothes, etc. free health clinics, etc. ALL OF IT and then HOPE LIKE HELL that a miracle happens.
  • Try to get any job that you can. A few cities over there's a busy street and there's people hired to walk around wearing signs advertising sales. A few feet away from those people are homeless people holding signs asking people for money. Um, wouldn't it make sense for them to be wearing the signs and getting paid? It would be doing the same exact thing but you wouldn't be begging.
  • That is an tough one. Depending on the cause. Seek work and upgrade your education! Start slowly and work your way up no matter how humble the job!
  • It totally depends on which country you live in, im lucky i live in scotland , when i split with my ex me and my two daughters were classed as homeless, so the council put us up in homeless accomadation which we lived in for a year while living there we were on the housing list to get a permanant home, which we have now been in for nearly a year its great we were so,so lucky , many women and children actually have to live on the streets :(
  • Win the lottery
  • move to Hollywood and get noticed by a casting agent and become an overnight sensation
  • Find a home. ...Or lodge under a big tree.
  • First try get into home shelter, usually home shelters will lead you to dept. of social services, so you can get medicaid, food stamps. Also they probably start you on job program training. After that..That's up to you if want to go further in education (going back to school get a degree) Social Services will pay for school I do not know how much today. There is a way out!
  • It so depends on where you live country or district, different places have different facilities for the homeless. Try and get into a long term hostel you may have to leave the area you live in to do that then when you are more secure look for work jobs like hotels sometimes have employee accommodation so you can kill two birds with one stone. Some hostels have programs that help you to find somewhere to live that is what I am doing now.
