  • Now you are just being silly. It may be true that some do this for the points but I believe the majority do it out of respect.
  • I will fix your down-rate because that was a mean thing for someone to do. I only ask one of those when a friend ask me to do so on their behalf. I would never just do it for the points I can make 1000 points a day just moderating and not taking the time to post a congrats question and up-rate and thank each and everyone who answers. Those questions are very time consuming to keep up with for me but it is for a friend I do not mind. If I could I would give all the points I make to the member being congratulated but the rules will not allow me to. Have a nice evening.
  • Yes, I will. Congrats to all you clever AB'ers! Woo-hoo!
  • I do!! Bells! Whistles and all!!
  • Sorry, I'm all congratulated out. w00t w00t! Rate 5!
  • You seem to be taking a beating for this one but your sarcasm is quite relevant for that minority who seem to hover over profiles waiting for users to level up so they can post congratulatory questions. Luckily, as Wanbli quite eloquently stated, most are sincere and smart enough to realize that a couple hundred points are not going to win them any valuable prizes;)
  • I have no problem with people doing it who are friends with the person being congratulated. I really HATE people who just sit and wait for people to reach a milestone, yet don't even know them. Those people ARE opportunist jerks.
  • I congratulated a friend the other day, not for points, but because he deserved it for doing a great job. Maybe, the points could be given to the person being congratulated, then everyone would be happy, until they found something new to complain about :-p
  • Now, you are really crazy.
