Has anybody ever changed their first name to their middle name because they like it more?

Sort of. I started by abreviating my first name to just the first initial but that got really confusing. Then, I just dropped my first name altogether and adopted my middle name. Oddly enough, a few years back I tried to have my whole birth name stated in my passport and I was denied because by now my middle name has become my legal name Ha ha...guess the joke's on me!

my uncle is francis barry but every1 (including his elderly mother) calls his barry im Samantha Cheryl but i prefer Cherly to Samantha and sam, but nobody seems 2 catch on!!
