The words derive from the Indonesian/Malay kecap( pronounced kechup) which means...soy sauce. How it came to be associated with tomatoes I do not know.

I think id have to say ketchup. If i had to chose the one i could handle the most of, definately ketchup. Mustard would get old.

Both, depending on what kind of mood or craving I have at the time. Kielbasa or bratwurst usually always calls for mustard, however.

Ketchup....I hate mustard in EVERY size, shape or form and it litterally makes me vomit. I DETEST the stuff, even the odor of it will induce gagging. I've always been like that, I can't even eat anything if I know it has mustard in it!

I like ketchup primarily but have been known to use mustard on occasion. I hated it when I was younger but I somehow aquired a taste for mustard over time.

No ketchup, or catsup either for that matter. Mustard for specific uses, kielbasas, bratwurst, knackwurst, just about any wurst, it's gotta be mustard. I just looked, I got 13 diff kinds in the icebox, which is kinda low. One X-mas I recev'd one of those gift boxes with some lil jars of 'fancy' mustards. The donor seemed surprized that i thot it was great gift, 'gift boxes' are kinda last minute 'whadda ya give when ya don't really know someone very well' things. Then I opened the reefer," Oh," she sed," I didn't know I was coming to the International House of Mustard." But mostly on other stuff its salsa and/or tabasco anyway.

Ketchup. Even on hotdog, even though it is against tradition in Chicago. If you ask for a hotdog with everything, it does not include ketchup in most Chicago joints.

Depends, but seeing that I'm Belgian I tend to eat mayonaise with everything and if it's not mayo then its mustard (the one with the mustard seeds in it...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm).

Mustard has to be English mustard or the mustard with seeds in, and I'll only use that on sausages or bacon. Tomato sauce I hardly have, except occasionally on pub chips. Brown sauce is by far the best though, you can have it on anything
