How can hair products claim to repair split ends? Do you believe that once they are split they can be repaired?

No I believe they may help prevent more split hairs but once damaged I think they can not be restored.

Chief is right in his answer. Split ends cant be corrected completely but they can be restored to presentable apperances.

I think that their claim is based more on repairing damaged hair so that you don't get split ends in the future. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.

No product can repair a split end. Split ends are to be cut off so that your hair can continue to grow properly and to stay healthy. The only thing that these products can do is try and keep them from returning, but the only way not to get split ends is by getting a regular hair cut/trim.

the secret is conditioning your hair so it doesnt become like that ! you get split ends if you dont look after your hair and its too dry. trimming is a good option to get rid of split ends

The can say they do, but its effects are only temporary. Some products will bond split ends... but products CAN prevent splits.
