I understand that people need to eat. But these fishermen herd these animals, that rely on sonar by running behind them and encircling them to confuse and frighten pushing them them toward the beach with their boat motors acting as a solid wall closing in behind them... Leaving them no choice but to head straight to the shoreline where fisherman wait to kill them and hundreds of spectators watch as the water turns red. After beaching them, they stick hooks into their blowholes to first suffocate them as they are gasping for breath frightened and panicing, then they sever their spinal cords in an attempt to "humanely" kill them... They actually survive... they die slow, with full brain function being dragged and beaten, then hung on the back of a boat upside down and carted away. Some people believe they actually live on 10 to 15 minutes after their spinal cords are severed? They scream, they fight for their lives, often with their calfs beached and dying right next to them... What can we do to help stop this? Please get involved!

And the sad part is... The mercury levels in the whale flesh is killing the people that eat it just as slowly... Nature has its ways of payment and retribution.

Sorry I didnt get the link to work...but I find it disgusting that human beings would desire to be so cruel to innocent animals.....how we stop it is a difficult question to answer...but if enough people spoke up..then...maybe something would be done at least its a start!!

Lucky for me, I can't get video's to play on my computer, but I too saw that new show, Sea Shepard. It is a wonderful thing this group is doing. When will Japan learn how to raise cattle and feed their people. Whales are intelligent beings and should not be slaughtered like this. Sickening!!!
