I usually just have a friend or loved one trim it as I stand on a chair. When I have gone to have it trimmed I usually tip them $5. So, since a simple trim is $10, I tip them 50%.

My current amount that I tip the lady who cuts my hair is $5.00, she does a good job and it is important to keep the people who cut your hair and serve your food happy, because they are the ones who can mess you up the most.

seeing as my hair dresser is a close friend and gives me an AMAZING discount i tip her 5 to 10 bucks depending on what she does. :) she charges everyone else near and about 100 dollars but only 25 or so for me :) o how i love having connections

3 for a hair cut and 6-10 dollars when i get highlights or my hair dyed. It also depends on their attitude. I always seem to get that person that wants to go home already and rushes through it, so i dont tip em at all.
