Help answer this question below.

My Sony DVP-NS90V DVD player stopped playing halfway through a movie. I cleaned the disc and the player. Now the screen says cannot play this disc. There are no fuses in unit,and I cleaned the inside with air. It plays CD's only, any ideas how to fix it?

the optical is toast, nothing you can do to repair it. the optical has two lasers built into one. one for reading the cd the other for the dvd..bring it to an authorized sony repair center
