Why is it that on a weekday when I HAVE to be up about 6.30am I struggle to get out of bed, and on a weekend when I can lie in as long as I like, I am up and out of bed at the said time?

Your mind and body have been conditioned. But hey, take advantage, fill that time with something positive.

It is because your body becomes accustomed to getting up at that time, and if you do it for enough years, a lot of people don't even an alarm. It sure is aggravating, tho'.

It's because you ARE obligated. It's easier to do something when it's your free will. You can sit still for hours and not touch your nose when it;s your choice, but if someone tells you to sit still and not scratch any itches, good luck on enduring it for 10 minutes and not breaking out in itches.
