Most people don't mind showing off telling how much land they own, how many homes, cars, etc; but they find offensive or taboo to mention how much money they have. Why is that?

It's called privacy, we are all entitled to it. People don't ask me, nor would i ask them how much money they have. It is none of mine or their business.

Because boasting about their fiscal wealth will make them realise what rich pricks they are.
