insecurity has NOTHING to do with it. It's greed. Plain and simple. Look around you..human possessions are much important than human lives.. there are examples of that everywhere.. people live in million dollar homes but they don't enough money to help the less fortunate.. People, in this case, will kill a guy and not care to save $2.00

I have to agree with momofspoiledrottenchihuahua. Greed was definitely the culprit here. According to the article, the bargains included things like a plasma HDTV and a digital camera. People shopping for those sorts of things are not entirely motivated by financial insecurity.
