  • I think it is sick that a holiday that is supposed to represent love and giving could turn people into savages. How could people step over someone dying on the ground because they needed to get the latest MP3 player for thier kids. I am not against sales and will admit I would be in line for a good deal but I would rather spend whatever more that it cost without sale price if it would save someone die because of selfishness. Do these people realize that this guy was 34 years old and probably had a family too? Personally, I feel that anyone of the people that were in the front of that line and pushed him down or that stepped over him should be tried for homicide. Good Question Indiana!
  • those people are sick. I'm glad I'm from a smaller town, where that sh*t doesn't happen.
  • bad...?
  • That the human race completely failed this poor guy. I think it's sad and it angers me to no end that people can be so selfish. Also see http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1115839
  • I have not heard about this, do you have a link to the story?!?!
  • i can't believe something like that would happen...and i can't believe there wasn't at least one or two people who could stop for half a second to realize that something like that would happen...i'm sorry but a TV is not worth the cost of someone's life...
  • I think people are idiots.....crowd mentality scares the crap out of me....I don't understand how it can happen.....it is disheartening to think saving a few dollars was worth stomping a man to death....
  • Where did this happen. I can not believe it. That's absolutely horrific. Just to save a few bucks!
  • sad that the world has come to this.
  • Seems to me, this comes back to cause of a lot/most of our problems...GREED. Has anyone read any of the books written about Wal Mart and the way they do business? They have put many small businesses out of busines all over the country. It's said they don't treat their employees very well either, so I wonder how they'll handle this death...?
  • Shows that we are in desperate times. And how come these people didn't try shopping online that day?
  • I think those people are a**wipes. Just to save a little money. Id rather stay home and find most of my presents on the internet. You look around you can find some really good deals and dont have to fight the crowds.
  • I'm thinking that if any surveillance video exists, the cops better be fitting the first fifty K-Mart Shoppers for orange jump suits. We need to charge as many guilty parties as possible with second degree manslaughter, then make examples of them all. This ought NEVER happen again.
  • Pardon. Third time in as many days. ;-)
  • So many things happened on Black Friday, not only at Walmart but other stores as well. While I understand getting the "biggest bang for the buck" in these hard financial times I feel very sad that people resort to acting like animals to get it. Don't get me wrong, I work retail and while the amount of sales is what gives me hours to work, these stories make me wish that there were no such thing as Black Friday. BTW I don't shop that day.
  • Across the world, we hear now and then of religious zeal that escalates and ends ultimately in a Mob and a Rush and Death. Here in America, it is easy to think: "All that inhumanity happens 'over-there'...in India, in Muslim countries, on Religious Pilgrimages, or at innumerous Soccer Matches......" However, this tragedy has defined what is religious fervor to the American People. Those good Christians, who began their 'Most Religious of Seasons' with a good old-fashioned 'Mob-Think Trample Death'. Go pray for your families and souls America, because the terrible death of a young man in the face of the kickoff of Christ's Birthday Season is showing me exactly how insane we as a culture have gotten. A man died for cheaply made crap that is available any time of the year and at every Walmart across the country. This tragedy will go forgotten in the press in a matter of weeks. However, the ill minded society that created such a climate of fevered consuming will continue far into the future. Pray for your souls, Christian followers, X-mas celebraters....Americans young and old. How many children stepped on that man? How many 'good mothers' and 'dear old dads'? This Sunday, free of guilt they will go to their churches and rejoice in their freedoms and blessings and think all is forgiven and forgotten. This December 25th...presents will be opened that are stained with blood. "Out! Out! Damn Spot!" This frenzied mob illustrates that American Group-think is alive and well. They should all be arrested and tried for homicide. Walmart will ultimately be the one held responsible....but lets not rest easy...it wasn't Walmart to blame, but our beloved Christian Citizens shopping for Christ's Day....the most Holy of Seasons... Amen. Gag...choke.
  • Absolutely f*cking sick!!!! Inexcusable! How can you not notice a human under your feet and keep going on?? Some of these shoppers disgust and anger me to nth degree. Obsessed and possessed it seems! There were 4 other shoppers hurt too and one of them was pregnant for God's sake! I don't care how bad the economy is, it will never be so bad to make you not care about trampling someone to death in order to save $5 off an iPod; although I know as well some people are this bargain-crazy even when the economy is good. I will never understand it, simple as that. Perhaps the store needed more security yes, and I'd even suggest police, because if I was a policewoman and saw this happen, I would immediately detain whatever people I saw trampling over this poor man and slap them with charges. If people are this desperate for a sale, then maybe they should do their shopping all year round at different times, or cut corners in other unnecessary things in life (like their $5 lattes every morning and their gas-guzzling SUV's). It's funny how insane some people get for these bargain shopping sales when they're wasting some of their other money on things that society has deemed as necessity, when it's luxury.
  • I hope his folks Sue the Sh** out of wally world.
  • I think every last one of those shoppers should be tracked down and indicted. I know that isn't actually possible, but wish it was. Every last one of them should be indicted with negligent homicide for their participation. Are people really that stupid? Are some sale prices worth a human life? Hell f&$%ing no!
