Thank you for asking this question! I hate it when I shop somewhere and the clerk working the register hands you back your change w/o saying thank you. They blankly stare at you almost as if they are waiting for you to say thank you like they did you a favor!So many people have no manners!

Some people will say thanks through actions rather than words. Giving food, flowers, or other gestures can be an actions speak louder than words sentiment. Thank you can also be a hug, a favor returned, or anything else subtle or creative.

I think one of the worst is gas station attendants. I thank them for doing the service but they never thank me for my business which is why they have a job in the first place. They should have been around when my Dad and my brother and I had gas stations. You had to check the cooling, oil, and tires on EVERY car, wash the windshield and the back window on EVERY car and pump the gas. And usually you had about 6 cars at once to do. And, we did it a hell of a lot faster than these guys saunter out and grudgingly pump the gas. And, we did it at 25 cents a gallon.
