yes, it is an outlet for aggression.
-
at whatever age they desire
-
The earliest that they desire to do so and you can find them a class to teach them. I'm not a boxer, I've worked a bit with my son on martial arts techniques but he's not interested enough to pay for a class so I try to make sure he just knows that non-violent avenues are always better and nearly always available.

97? maybe 98?
-
A lot of kids start earlier than their teens.
-
Why do you think they should be teens before they start? I have been teaching martial arts for over 50 years and kids can start learning at any age. Boxing is just another form of martial art.

I say when they hit puberty... you don't want a 5 year boxing...might get some cells knocked out...

At any age. It's good exercise and can help with confidence.

-
The earlier the better, as they become more comfortable with being teenagers and alll the crazyness that comes with it, they might benefit from knowing how to defend themself's for when you have to kick their arse during their teen carrier. And you will. I promise.
-
lol the answer to your question is 10, which is the youngest a person can be to get training in a boxing club
-
I think 13. Boxboy in a grocery store or 'five & dime' is a great beginner's job! ;-)

Coming from a boxer, I would say that if the adolescent has reached teen-status, they almost started a little late. Normally, the ideal age for a child to begin a contact sport in order to mentally and physically better prepare him or her is around ten years old. Most boxers start off between the ages of 10 and 15. If it were my child, I'd go with the younger the better saying. A small child punching another small child has little chance to causing serious damage. However, the same cannot be said for a 15yr old. But if your child is already in her or his teens and would like to box, 13-15 is a good age to start. 17 is pushing it and 18 is out of the question.

I've been boxing since I could remember. I think that as long as the youngster is fighting kids his age and in his boxing level there's no age limit.

As soon as your spouse says "I do".
