The Exorcist.

That is subjective to opinion. I haven't seen many of them so I probably don't know. For me, it was 'The Blair Witch Project'. It still scares me, even though I know it is fake.
-
I Think it would be the Exorcist or The blare witch

Jesus Camp http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486358/
-
A movie called "communion". Its about aliens and it gave me nightmares for weeks
-
I have only seen a few, and for me the scariest would be "The Ring"'s Japanese version. It's so-- psychological. The contents of the cursed video, for example. There are no ghosts in it, no gross stuff, but it gave me the chills the first time I saw it as a teaser for the movie. Also "Shutter". You'll never look at a camera the same way again.
-
Faces of Death! So sick!

Scary Movie 4. EDIT: All scary movies. 2nd EDIT: Every single god damn troll.

I think for many people it would be the exorcist. For me, it would be 'The Blair Witch Project'. I know this has been asked before, but with these search options you can't find anything.

The Ring, and IT come pretty close for me, It because I'm terrified of clowns.
-
I think real life movies such as the Texas Chainsaw massicure. It freaky to think someone actually had to live something like that!
-
The original version of "The Exorcist". At the time, it scared me enough to not sleep for days.
-
When I watch it now it seems a bit cheesy... but I remember the first time I saw The Exorcist it scared the pee out of me.

-
The Spice girls movie !!(lol) scary stuff
-
Alien. Bearing in mind that I watched it all by myself in a dark room when I was 11. I honestly had nightmares for literally months afterwards.
-
THE RING (american version) i pood myself soo bad coz i watched it and then seven days later, when the uk was having bad wheather, i was asleep and the wind and the thunder and lightning must have knocked my tv on - it was on standby so i could have knocked my remote but at the time i thought the little girl was coming after me because i seen the film and honest to god ive never been so scared in my hole life!
-
The Grudge (Japanese version). That film scared me so much I vowed never to watch a scary film ever again. That was about 2 years ago and I still havn't watched anything even remotely scary since, I plan to keep it that way.
-
WOLF CREEK.... It was such an intense movie! I can usually watch anything and not have a problem but when I saw this I was horrified! It just seemed so real - the actors were excellent! I watched it at the cinemas with my cousin and then when it was released on DVD I got it out and attempted to watch it with my GF but I had to turn it off, it was so horribly real. It wasn't a typical horror movie like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it had a sort of 'true' feeling of how you would feel in the same situation as the characters. Not so much gore, but psychologically sick!!! It's 1.30am now and I'm scared! (:^{
-
the ring japanese version... i seems like to freak out and paranoid very time i was alone with a tv... i can't even go to the bathroom alone lol! :p japenese movie really rocks when it comes to scare the hell out of you.. but i want to watch more movie from them like the phone, shutter (omg.. camera's..), the grudge, and tons like those.. (not alone of course!! XD)
-
Jeepers Creeper 1 & 2. After those I completely stopped watching horror movies. I know, I'm a baby.
-
Here are some movies that I thought were kind of scary...I dont really get that scared though The Descent IT(The clowns just plain freaky...but the second part of the disk is kind of disapointing...considering the fact that the clown turns into a massive fake looking spider) 28 Days later( normally I don't like zombie flicks but this one was alright) Silent Hill (Some parts were dumb, some were somewhat scary) White Noise- was okay hmmm yeah I dont think I've ever seen a movie that I actually thought was really scary :/ oh yeah and sleepy hollow used to be one of my favorites as a kid. :)
-
ahh I'm still scared from the exorcist.. but I was scared of the Scream movies when I was a kid too!! Texas Chainsaw Massacre hits me right at home also. I've heard that the hills have eyes was soo scarry but I haven't seen it yet. I won't watch a scarry movie by myself!
-
Considering my age at the time, I think The Exorcist was.
-
the hills have eyes
-
the hills have eyes
-
I watched Event Horizon by myself... in the dark. Scary as hell!
-
ghost ship. anything that has little girls popping out of nowhere.
-
As an adult none of them really, they just make you jump from unexpected events. But when I was younger, damn near any Alfred Hithcock or Tales From The Crypt show gave me the creeps and had me turning on all the lights...lol
-
I don't see very many scary movies and m two kids convinced me to go see the Reaping, that movie had me jumping out of my seat
-
The original "Amityville Horror". The music alone scared the hell out of me.
-
The Children of the Damned. Those black fingernails and the radioactive cloud was really creepy when you're 12. Or, The Day After, a made for t.v. movie with Jason Robards in it that had every one I knew browning their trousers in 1984.
-
Saw, not because of the gore but because it was so realistic. it really got me thinking : "someone could actually do that to some one"
-
Hostel, all I can say is "THIS COULD REALLY HAPPEN!!!" High Tension was a really good one, too. You are on the edge of your seat the whole movie!!
-
A Spanish film called 'Los sin Nombres'
-
Eraserhead convinced me salad was demonic.
-
Farenheit 9/11
-
Nightmare on Elm Street. I know it sounds stupid but that movie scares me. The scary movies they have out now don't scare me in the least but Nightmare on Elm Street still does.
-
Hellraiser 3
-
for me, it was the first of an old, three part, black and white film called Black Sabbath.
-
Last House on Left - saw it when I was a kid on betamax & had night nightmares for months.
-
'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and the original 'The Stepford Wives' both left me with nightmares, because of that idea that someone could do something to you to make you lose all sense of yourself, destroy you completely. Scares during a film - the originals - 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' or 'The Last House on the Left' or 'The Hills have Eyes' were all terrifying, but I never had nightmares afterwards. I have to admit 'The Ring' was quite chilling too. Even though I was fully aware how stupid the concept was throughout the film, the visuals somehow enabled me to suspend disbelief.
-
The Hills Have Eyes was pretty good...
-
Chucky. Well I was very young, being looked after by an irresponsible grandad!
-
My top scariest movie(s) would be: Cannibal Holocaust (1980) the most horrifying movie ever - banned in many countries, triple X in US... it was that horrifying and was it true? It was recently re-released on DVD - definately adult material... Henry - Portrait of a serial killer... wow! The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - it was the groundbreaking movie that started the 'slasher movie' industry.. to top it off, it was based on true events.. scared the shit out of me, the only movie I couldn't eat any refreshments in. Perfectly filmed, absolutely chilling. The Blair Witch Project.. ingenious...I actually believed it... what a great concept Alien (the original) On the big screen it was just too much... Great great filmaking... never showed too much of the monster (like Jaws), just enough to grab your imgination. The ship was dirty, like a freighter would be - not antiseptic clean like most space movies - the captain is actually killed halfway in the movie - and he got star billing - never expected it, didn't see it coming. I remember thinking, 'who's gonna save them now?' The Japanese editions of "the grudge". Thriller movie making at its very best! The American version was OK and pretty faithful to the original, but man, you've got to see the Japanese versions - must see movies for any film-making class. 'Pulse' (2006) was a helluva scary flick - nicely done. 'Wolf Creek' just like the Texas chainsaw massacre, but in Australia - and a true story. Perfume - The Story of a Murderer... A must - must see! You'll never forget it.
-
The scariest movie ever in the history of movies is "Angel Heart". I was afraid to be alone for days.
-
halloween
-
Only movie that ever really scared me was Aliens, as a kid.
-
Long time ago there was a film called "The Haunting" or "The Haunting of Hill House." I think Julie Harris was in it. It created all its effects by lighting, implication, power of suggestion, not by gore or slasher effects or Freddy Krueger. It did truly creep me out. Nightmare fodder.
-
Rubber Johnny and The Audition. I saw about 15 seconds of Rubber Johnny and I had to turn that s**t off. Then, my analytical mind kicked in and I HAD to find out that he was NOT a real person, but a fictional character created entirely by Chris Cunningham. The Audition I never saw, but I heard about it. It is a Japanese film, and I heard that it was the epitome of horror.
-
Halloween! I remember seeing that when I was a kid and the usher had my mom go in first to make sure she wanted us to see it.I loooove horror movies!I've probably seen everything there is-nothing else scares me but Michael Myers. Its my favorite!!
