  • Thats not the case at all! lol if you raise a cat and dog together from when they're a tiny puppy and kitten they will be best friends forever. I raised my 4 new pitbull pups with my 2 kittens and they are best freinds till this day! they cuddle together and sleep together and they dont fight what so ever!
  • Both my cats hate eachother, but they love the dog. She even breaks up their fights if they attack eachother. I think it's a competition thing- "I'm the top cat here" but they don't get jealous of the dog or worry about her because she receives different kinds of treatment from us.
  • It depends in large part on the individual dog's life experience with cats. If they come up with cars in the household or have positive experience with cats, they will get along fine. If they have negative experiences or their only experience is chasing cats in their neighborhood, that will be the way they treat them.
  • Miscommunication. Cats and dogs "speak" different languages. For example, the raised paw in dog language means "Let's play." In cat language, it means "Let's fight." Dogs who hate cats tend to be that way, because they were taught to be that way. Those pets are very obedient, while cats tend to have a mind of their own. When a cat and dog grow up together, though, they can be the best of friends.
