I personally have mixed feelings. I love the fact that I got to see it come to life on the big screen and I think they did an excellent job portraying the basic story line. I am glad I saw it and I plan on seeing it once more in theatres and buying it on dvd when it comes out. That being said, I was also disappointed. Some of my favorite scenes from the book were cut. I did not agree with some of the actors they chose. The woman who plays Rosalie was nothing like I pictured. She is supposed to be extremely beautiful and I just couldn't see that in that actress. They also cut most of the scenes that show Bella & Alices friendship. Alice gets maybe 10 lines in the entire movie. Oh, and the glittering effect for Edward looked like they just covered him in glitter. But overall, I'd give it a big thumbs up. Go and see it.

I took my children to see it last Friday and it was pretty good. Not outstanding but worth the price of the tickets. One of my daughters had read the books and was a little disappointed. This is not new however, she had explained to me that when she sees a movie after having read the book and it does not match what she had envisioned in her head while reading the book it just doesn't seem the same. I understand that.

I have gone and seen the movie and while I enjoyed it quite a bit I was also dissapointed witht he way that they portrayed Edward Cullen. To me he seemed more like a creepy stalker than a man hopelessly in love. I did enjoy it though and am going to go and see it again this weekend.

I haven't seen the movie but have read the book.

I am going to begin reading the books soon. Seems like most of you commenting live in the States. It doesn't come out here in Australia till December 10, I think. We always have a longer wait. I know some Twilight fanatics who're just bursting to see the film!

If you don't want us to post anything bad, how can you expect all of us to give an honest answer? O.o

After reading Twilight, i really wanted to see the movie, but like yourself, i haven't had the chance to see it (and may have to wait for the DVD version at this rate). Although some people have given bad reviews about the movie, that's not gonna turn me away 'cos i've got to see it for myself. And i hope it doesn't disappoint me.

most movies based on books are awful compared to the books. it's the same with this one. if it did really well in the theaters, it's mostly because fans wanted to see what the book would be like as a movie. if anyone actually left the movies happy after watching twilight... well, idk. i guess we'd both just have different opinions. but i think most fans would have been disappointed, i mean most were disappointed with the cast, & the cast affects everything in the movie.

I prefer the book over the movie. First of all, Kristen Stewart is not a good actress. Sure, she looks like a good Bella, but she needs to be better at acting. Robert Pattinson was good though, just his looks... The movie was pretty bad in my opinion. They left certain parts out of the book, some things were out of order, and it all seemed way too fast paced. I mean, I understand they have to make a 500 page book into like a 2 hour movie, but still. They could've done better. And the glowing on Edward: he didn't sparkle too much. He should have been glowing more. Not shiny, but actually GLOWING.

i didn't like it. they all seemed so monotone. & their were so few times that i laughed. i didn't enjoy is as much as i though i would. it wasn't as exciting as i hoped it would be. it's not like harry potter where i know what's going to happen, but i'm still excited.
