  • If both sides are not working then it is most likely the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch will still click and appear to be working when only one side of the switch goes out. You can use a 12 volt test light at the lamp plug to test the switch.
  • put an electrical tester on all the headlight wires one at a time and see if they have power going to them i know the highbeams have power but check the low beams and see if you can switch the wires from the high beam to the low beam even if u have to splice into it until u can get those fixed cops will pull u over because usually when they see high beams it means the steering column was broke to hotwire it so they will pull u over to make sure everything checks out and either way it is illegal to drive with them on when you dont really need them rate my answer please
  • Check the low beam fuses, and replace the bulbs. (Is it 2 or 4 headlight config.) The 2 headlight version uses dual filament bulbs, and the low beam filiment is usually first to fail. A lot of 4 headlight systems do that with 2 of the 4 bulbs, but some have completely independant bulbs.
